Goriest Murder Trail yet?
Friday July 9th 2010 10:56pm

North Warwickshire and Hinckley College ran Murder Trail for staff devlopment today and it was the goriest yet: not only did we use more blood, but we used a real heart and lungs too!

We'd like to thank everyone who took part. The actors all did an excellent job and the teams came up with some of the best solutions yet. The winning team was closer to our internal worked solution than any other team so far!

Murder Trail v0.23 in development

Version 23 will be available July next year and will include 10 new activity plans and around 50 other changes.

Murder Trail attended the first IfL meeting to share CPD
Friday May 14th 2010 1:09pm

Today we went to London to take part in the IfL's first seminar on sharing good professional development. The day was extremely informative and full of new ideas and interesting experiences.

In the morning we started with sharing our experience of Professional Development in our field and our thoughts on the Reflect program used to catalog CPD. The MT team are not keen on Reflect -we find the interface too complex and the workflow too rigid for what it is supposed to do- but we did find an iPhone version so we'll let you know what that is like after a play...

The rest of the day was spent sharing our CPD. It was a minefield of ideas. We are still going through our notes and adding ideas to improve Murder Trail from the discussions.

Thank you to everyone who attended and gave their thoughts and ideas regarding Murder Trail. It is much appreciated. We hope there are more of these seminars in the future.

Murder Trail run as staff development day for Leicester College
Wednesday April 28th 2010 6:30pm

Murder Trail was run today as a surprise staff development day at Beaumanor Hall in Leicestershire. The staff of the Science, Maths and Humanities department (SMAH) took part as a team building exercise.

Everyone had a great time with free lunch and coffee in lovely surrounds. The weather was great, except for one rainfall that washed most of the blood away before we got the players to see it. Nevermind, serves us right for putting it on the grass!

Thanks to all the volunteers who helped out with the training and acting - it was by far the best Murder Trail yet!
