Terms of use
These terms apply to the Murder Trail app, published by Veryne Media, Wim Sonneveldlaan 53, 1948 AE Beverwijk, the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce/KvK 98172433) ("we"). By downloading or playing Murder Trail you agree to them. If you got the app from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; if you got it from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply.
Your licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Murder Trail on devices you own or control, for your own entertainment. Don't copy, resell, reverse engineer or modify the app or its content, and don't use it to break the law or to harm others or the app.
Purchases and virtual items
- Hints, Ranks and Eras are licences to use digital content in the app. They have no cash value and can't be exchanged, transferred or refunded by us.
- Payment, billing and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their terms. Ask them for a refund; when one is granted, the content bought may be removed.
- Ranks and Eras are tied to your App Store or Google Play account and can be restored with Settings › Restore purchases. Hints are consumed when used.
- Prices are shown in the store before you buy and may differ per country.
Ads
The app shows ads. A Rank removes ads between Cases; ads you choose to watch for a reward stay available. How ads use data is explained in the privacy policy.
Content and changes
Murder Trail, its Cases, text, art and sound belong to us or our licensors. We may update the app, add or change content and features, and may stop offering the app. If an Era you bought is withdrawn, we will keep it playable on devices that already have it where we reasonably can.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is". We do our best to keep it working and your progress safe, but we can't promise the app will always be available or free of errors. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for in-app purchases in the twelve months before the claim. This does not limit liability that can't be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring claims there.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the new version will be published here with a new date. If you keep playing after a change, the new terms apply.
